Speakers

Mo Young

Lane County - Community Partnerships Program Supervisor

Mo Young is the Community Partnerships Program supervisor for Lane County Public Health. Prior to that position, she worked as the Equity Coordinator for the County. While titles give clues to the kind of work that Mo does, her professional and personal experiences create a clearer picture. She has been a fierce and dedicated advocate for equity and justice for her entire career. She is an advocate, an educator, a co-conspirator, and a thought partner to so many and has lent her helping hands to movements for social justice in Lane County for more than 20 years.

Micah Brown

Lane County - Data & Analytics supervisor and Electronic Health Records Supervisor

Micah has spent the last 30 years combining his passion for community development with his interest in data and technology. Micah’s past professional involvement includes time overseas in developing nations leading efforts to rehabilitate schools, hospitals, and agriculture in war zones. More recently, Micah worked with hospitals world-wide using technology in neurosciences to develop methods for minimally invasive epilepsy surgery that led to significant improvements in the quality of life for patients, including many overseas. After supporting the implementation of a new Electronic Health Record across the H&HS Department, in these last two years Micah has been appointed to design and develop the data and analytics strategy for Lane County, build data tools that increased the ability of our community to respond to the rapidly changing needs of the families and first responders impacted by the Holiday Farm Fire, as well as lead county-wide vaccine efforts by both overseeing vaccination sites and managing the data collection for these sites. Micah is always excited about data and how organizations use data in service to the community and uplifting DEI efforts.
